From Dortmund-Wickede Airport
Approximately 15 km from the hotel.
From Dortmund Airport, there are bus and underground railway connections for buses for Dortmund city centre. You can obtain exact information from the information counter directly at the airport or from our hotel reception.
From Düsseldorf Airport
Approximately 62 km from the hotel.
All railway lines (DB and S-Bahn) run directly to Dortmund´s main railway station.
From Dortmund´s main railway station
Distance of 2 km from the hotel.
Travel by underground train from the main railway station on the U45 line (towards the Westfallenhallen) up to the Polizeipräsidium stop (Police Headquarters). The underground train changes its operational number to U 46 at the Westfalenhallen stop. Please stay on the train until the next station.
Public transport
The underground railway station at Polizeipräsidium is located directly in front of our hotel. From there, you can reach any point of town with public transport.
Motorways
You can reach us quickly and comfortably by car. The A1, A2 and A45 motorways can be reached via the major roads, B1 and B54 in only a few minutes.
From the direction of Frankfurt (A45)
Drive along the A 45 until the ‘Dortmund Süd’, then drive along the B 54 towards Dortmund city centre (watch out for speed detectors!), then turn left into Markgrafenstrasse at the 1st set of traffic lights (the Continental Versicherung building is situated on the right hand side). Drive straight ahead until the next set of traffic lights, then turn right into Hohe Strasse and proceed to the Ringhotel Drees: the hotel is situated at the next corner on the left hand side.
From the direction of Bochum and Essen (A40 and B1)
Drive along the A 40 or B 1 until the exit ‘Dortmund – Mitte’. After the exit, keep in the right hand lane at the next set of traffic lights and drive straight ahead, into the next side street (Querstrasse). Turn right after approximately 300 m. The Ringhotel Drees is situated approximately 300 ahead on the right hand side.
From the direction of Cologne (A1)
Drive along the A 1 up to the Westhofener Kreuz (intersection), then along the A 45 towards Dortmund (then proceed further as described above).
From the direction of Kassel and Unna (A44 and B1)
Drive along the B 1 up to the exit ‘Zentrum’ / B 54 . After the exit, turn left into Markgrafenstrasse at the next set of traffic lights (then proceed further as described above).
